Metropolitan Natural Park
The Metropolitan Nature Park is the only park in a tropical metropolitan capital. Approximately 192 hectares of the park are composed of tropical semi-deciduous forest of low-lying lands. Among the fauna that you will see are the White-tailed deer, Agouti, Coatimundi, Collared anteater and the Two-toed and Three-toed sloth. Additionally there are close to 200 species of birds. Hike the Natural Interpretative Trail up to the look-out, where the rest of the park can be seen as well as Panama City, the Bay, the Panama Canal including the Port of Balboa and Miraflores Locks. Coming down the Mono Titi Road you will finish the visit at the park's mini-ecological bookstore.
